So, how do you weave this magic for your customers? It begins by offering financing to every customer, every time. Even if they have the cash in hand to pay for the project they have in mind. Remember, you are going to take them beyond their original vision and show them how great their home – and by definition their lifestyle – can be. We've said it before, and we'll say it again: There are only two types of home improvement buyers, and they both respond well to financing offers – if they're the right offers, of course: Cash buyers have the money they need to pay for their project. However, if you offer a no interest if paid in full within promo period/no payment* promotion - say for 12 months - they may begin to see other uses for that cash in hand, like taking a long-delayed vacation. Plus, they can use the financing to add special touches like between-the-glass blinds or shades. After all, now they have a whole year to pay off the extra cost with no interest, when they pay it off by the end of the promotional period*. Affordable payment buyers on the other hand are tuned in to what sort of monthly payment will fit into their cash flow. In this case, you can explain that their new storm door will be $169 per month, but for an additional $36, they can upgrade to a premium storm door and get the type of project they really prefer.. You sell the payment, not the price because that is what these buyers understand. The GreenSky® Loan Program**, with its high approval rates and generous loan amounts, gives you a powerful tool to help customers get the home improvement project of their dreams. " Take them beyond their original vision " 13 *Interest is billed during the promotional period, but all interest is waived if the purchase balance is paid in full before the expiration of the promotional period. **Financing for GreenSky® consumer loan programs is provided by federally insured, federal and state chartered financial institutions without regard to age, race, color, religion, national origin, gender, or familial status.
